Story about an Encounter !
This is the translation of my previous posting done by our dear Gosijo, she likes it so much that she kindly translated in English and sent to me by e-mail as I’m too busy actually to do it myself.Thank you very much Gosijo for your help to share this cute story with our Bae sisters.
Do you believe in destiny? I have often heard stories about Bae sisters who travelled thousands of kilometers in the hope of seeing Yong Joon and came back home with their wishes sadly unfulfilled. And others who, by some lucky coincidence, succeeded in meeting him, just like that, sometimes even without premeditation!
Ah, Fate, when you hold us in your palm!
The parents of a friend (who isn’t a Bae fan) visited Korea last October. They live in the United States and, before their departure, I recommended Yong Joon’s Gorilla in the Kitchen restaurant for when they would be in Seoul. They therefore went to lunch there and enjoyed the food very much.
While in Korea, they travelled with a group of tourists made up mostly of elderly Korean women. During a conversation, my friend’s parents happened to mention GIK to a few of the women who knew YJ and, I believe, like him quite a lot.
These ladies, in turn, decided to go to lunch at GIK in Seoul on Sunday, the eve of their return to the US. After lunch, they went for a stroll in Dosan Park across the street from GIK and, on their return to the restaurant, one of them decided to go to the washroom.
However, although she thought she was opening the door to the ladies’ room, it turned out to be the door to a private room where YJ was lunching with other guests.
Haha, just imagining the looks on the woman’s face and YJ’s at that moment has me simultaneously dying of laughter and turning green with envy!
I don’t know what actually happened then but I imagine the lady apologized for her mistake and quickly left.
But my story isn’t over yet.
After going to the washroom, the real one this time, the woman went back outside to swell the ranks of fans waiting for YJ to come out. And, as she was elderly (about 80) and of small stature, the fans kindly allowed her to stand in the front row. When YJ exited the restaurant, and as he walked by the woman, he shook her hand and said a few words. After his departure, the fans came to the woman and shook her hand in their turn, the same hand YJ had held. And so, that was their encounter, and what an encounter it was, wouldn’t you agree?
And what does the woman think of our YJ? He is beautiful, charming and appears young for his age!
Moral of the story ? When you go to GIK, don’t forget to go to the ladies’ room on the first level and Good Luck if you make a mistake about the door !

What I would have liked to see, apart from our dear Yong Joon, of course (!), is the lucky woman's expression as she told her story to your friend's parents - wide smile and pink cheeks, do you think?

Hope to be in GK one day and be a lucky lady too but not when I'm already 80.

Thank you so much for bringing this story to us. Haha, you mean that lady didn't notice the waiting crowds outside when she went into GIK? The fans were really nice to let her stand in front. What a great chance meeting :)
